This past weekend my friend Faith (of Faith Shelly Photography) and I had the honour of photographing  the wedding of Casey and Katie.

It was such a beautiful wedding and reception, it was small and intimate and so clear that they are so loved by both families. There were tears in my eyes a few times during speeches.

What a beautiful thing it was to wake up to see the whole world covered in a layer of clear ice. Every new bud, blade of grass, clothes line, everything outside was covered in ice.

There was damage and people without power, but for us there was only the beautify.

I really enjoyed photographing this family. They happen to be really cool and friends of ours so that always makes it more fun.

Not only is this lovely lady a mother and wife, she’s back in school getting her Registered Practical Nurse License!  I’m so proud of her!

Can you tell “Miss E” is taking ballet? We didn’t tell her to stand like this but in every picture she did. She’s so cute.
