a session I love | Grey-Bruce Photographer

June 28th, 2012
I have been eying a certain location, that is just full of amazing vintage cars, for about a year now desperate to do a session there but hadn’t gotten up the nerve to randomly ask someone to use their private property. Finally the right session came along and I knew I had to ask
It was cooler than I hoped it would be, so many amazing old cars! I think the owner probably thought I was a little insane but he said yes! I think I’ll probably take him a gift card to thank him so that he will hopefully let me use it again sometime. :)
Here are a few photos from last night using my old favourite location and my new co-favorite :)

a survivor | Grey Bruce Photographer

June 21st, 2012
I was contacted almost a year ago by The Maple Leaf Mission (a non profit organization I am a member of that photographs families dealing with life changing events such as illness, disabilities, and military service) to photograph Wanda and her family. Things kept coming up (blizzards, illness, childbirth, etc) that made us have to postpone repeatedly. (She is pretty far away from where I live) So for almost a year we have chatted via email and the phone without actually meeting. Finally on Friday we were able to meet face to face.
Meet Wanda, she is a cancer survivor, for 7 year now she told me (with more than a little excitement). Wanda and her family were a pleasure to be around. We did their session at a family member’s beautiful house and luckily it was a couple days before this heat wave hit! :)

Wanda and her husband with their family…

Her grandson was great. He’s a boy after my own heart – he was hunting frogs at the end of our session.  :)

Flowers, Geese and Adorable kids | Grey Bruce Photographer

June 18th, 2012
Now that Father’s Day has come and gone I can share a few more from Miss “T” and her cousin’s session. There are just too many of her to share all the ones that I loved, but here are just a few of them…

I love her face in this one! She was just so cute and smiley, and I think her mommy may have been making silly faces right behind me.

This is one of her cousins, “B” He doesn’t like having his picture taken and doesn’t want to look at the camera and smile, or sit and pose, but that is fine, we usually get good smiles out of him anyway. And he’s so funny and cute that even when he makes grumpy faces it makes me smile.

The boys together. “B” and “C”

 The cousins together

When he had enough of me trying to take his picture, B left to chase the geese. These guys were not afraid of us AT ALL and kept following us around the park hoping for more hand outs. The babies were big enough that the parents weren’t trying to peck us to death for being too close to them, but were still cute.

A horse and his girl | Grey Bruce Photographer

June 14th, 2012
This Pickles the Pony, and his girl, Miss “E”.
Just about every little girls wants a Pony and Miss “E” is one of the lucky few who has one! She also has bunnies (and baby bunnies), goats, sheep, cows, a turkey, chickens and chicks, and 2 very large St. Bernards, and those are just the animals I saw. :)

She loves her pony and was very attentive to her needs for a grassy snack and a pat on the nose.

After showing off Pickles for a while she wanted me to check out her fort.

 And her sandbox
And her swing
Keeping up with a two year old is hard work. I left sore and a little bruised (but that probably is mostly due to my slight clumsiness…falling right before the session started LOL) But it’s also very fun and my one of my very favourite age groups.

Little Miss “E” | Grey Bruce Photographer

June 9th, 2012
This little angel is Miss “E”. She is full of energy, loves animals and just turned two recently.
Her session was fun because we got to include a very large furry prop, her pony Pickles! :) Miss “E” even rides him bareback. She’s a pretty cool little girl!

More to come later from her session too. :)
