52 week project – This makes me wish I could freeze time

January 18th, 2013

This makes me wish I could freeze time… This week’s photo challenge. I knew it had to be one of the times my little loves were doing something together – which they do increasingly more often as Gideon is getting older – but Gideon is easily distracted when he sees the camera, he wants to see the pictures before I even have a chance to take them. I was finally able to grab this one Thursday night, they were playing an alphabet game together.

Melissa Berg I love these candid shots! So precious!
Christine Awww, I love those pj's! They are adorable!
Cindy I love footed PJ's! Makes me sad my kids are too old for them now. Good job capturing this memory?
Kristina That's a great idea!
Katherine This is precious...Like David said grab them while you can and don't forget to gather them all up and have them printed, even if you just do a nice photobook....I promise you'll be glad you did
David G Grab those moments while you can . . . my baby is 21 now and it flew by!

The D family

October 27th, 2012

I met this adorable family for their session on a beautiful, although not warm, morning.

They have three little boys that are just way too cute, they sure had me cracking up even when they absolutely flat out refused to cooperate for a family photo. They were just not feeling it[as in they were sobbing] so I will be seeing them again very soon to try again. :) Despite no actual family photos I got a lot of individual and small group ones, some with very grumpy faces that I just LOVE [lol]  and some great smiles so it DEFINITELY wasn’t a waste of time. :)

There is just something about a sad little face….he was a bit shy…

But very happy if he had his turtle blankie…

I just love when little kids try to talk/say cheese instead of smiling. They come out with the craziest little faces!! I just love his little mouth in this one. I think he was talking to his daddy.

Fall session for “W” family

October 15th, 2012

It has been WAY too long since I’ve updated! Fall is so busy and it seems like the summer was so busy as well, I hardly find a moment to edit let alone blog!

I’ve had the the pleasure of photographing Miss T before and she is always a pleasure. This time it was her and her parents instead of her with her cousins.

Jake | Grey-Bruce Photographer

July 3rd, 2012
This is Jake. I was so honoured to do his portrait session. J has become well known in this area, but not for a reason that anyone would want to be known for. He suffers from neuroblastoma, a form of cancer.
I first heard about him almost 2 years ago when the community put together a huge carnival for him, many people shaved their heads with him and a lot of money was raised for him. Since then Jake has continued to fight hard, he is a very sweet 9 year old and I really enjoyed meeting him in person and will be praying for him and his family as they continue to pursue new treatments.

More about Jake:

a session I love | Grey-Bruce Photographer

June 28th, 2012
I have been eying a certain location, that is just full of amazing vintage cars, for about a year now desperate to do a session there but hadn’t gotten up the nerve to randomly ask someone to use their private property. Finally the right session came along and I knew I had to ask
It was cooler than I hoped it would be, so many amazing old cars! I think the owner probably thought I was a little insane but he said yes! I think I’ll probably take him a gift card to thank him so that he will hopefully let me use it again sometime. :)
Here are a few photos from last night using my old favourite location and my new co-favorite :)
